Kate and Ben met online back in 2018. Kate was ready to give up on the dating apps while Ben was brand new to it all. He even had a friend help him out when Kates bio said she was looking for someone to push her on the swings (which is insanely adorable now knowing that their wedding venue added a swing to one of their trees on the property which is where they had their private first look 🙂 ) Their first date was at Bartaco and they were both so nervous there was no reservation and they decided to wait 2 hours and stick it out. The rest is history!
These two had the most magical wedding day. No detail was left out from the homemade floral bouquet, disco balls, and custom cake made by a friend.
The grooms people had a sweet gift for Ben, a few packs of Pokemon cards, that he decided to open in their suite at the cards table. This was such a fun moment to be a part of during their wedding day. Metal was blasting in the suite while they were all getting ready and just having a good time.
It was a beautiful fall day. We could not have asked for better weather. It was warm for October, but the leaves on the trees had turned and it was a perfect quintessential fall day in New England. Everyone was just so happy to be there and appreciative of the friends and family who were there to celebrate.
They decided to use personalized vow books during the ceremony, however instead of handwriting it out, they printed out their vows instead so it was easy to read. It was so wholesome to hear these two having very similar vows even when written separately. From touching on their first interactions and first date, their big move into their new home, and how even in all the chaos of their lives, the other is their rock through it all.
Kate went ahead and thrifted every single vintage rug she could find, and used them as the aisle to walk down to Ben. From Facebook market place, to Goodwill and local vintage stores, she spent the past two years looking for the perfect ones and we even toured the venue last year with the rugs to make sure there was enough for the space!
After their ceremony, the reception was held at the barn and once the party got going it did not stop! They even had a designated playlist and time slot to end the evening with “Emo Night” where all the guests really got down on the dance floor.
