Need a few pointers on how to have the best engagement session?

1. Dance it out. If you are a little nervous for your session, dancing is proven to be a great mood booster and decrease anxiety. Bring a speaker with your favorite playlist locked down is a great way to enjoy your session and make it uniquely yours.

2. Switch locations. By changing up the scenery, you are able to get multiple types of backgrounds and styles for a more versatile session.

3. Add movement. Sometimes I like to start out with my couples walking or frolicking to get their bodies moving and some laughter. Try the “drunk walk” during your next session by bumping into one another.

4. Bring props. I’ve had couples who have brought their pets, multiple outfits, even some decor they will be using at the wedding. This is great to bring your engagement session and your wedding day all together through photos. For my couples who are looking for a spookier session, I typically bring along tarot cards, a crystal ball, and some candles to add to the magic.

5. And most importantly, have fun! It is your session, do what makes you the most comfortable!
