Emily and John got married at Emily’s parents house in Stoughton in September of 2021.
We love getting to know our couples and hearing all the fine details that they’ve incorporated to make their wedding day so unique! Emily and John were no different.
This wedding was a full blown DIY queen’s dream wedding. Emily made all the floral pieces. Her bouquet, the centerpieces and the flowers on top of the arch. All the little signs throughout the space were also made by Emily. John even made the arch himself! They even included their other family members to be a part of their day. Emily got her hair done by her aunt at her salon before coming back to the house. John’s brother even made his wedding band- something I have never seen before, how sweet!
All the decor they made and used had a celestial and jewel tone vibe, which I think is a trend that will definitely continue with future weddings this year. Things they included like Emily’s hair piece, twinkly lights, star chandeliers and much more.
To make their day a little more special, they did their first look away from the family home before guests started to arrive. We made our way over to the school right down the road and did all family portraits there as well. Emily got ready at the family home while John was away with his brother’s at a hotel nearby.
Some of the vendors included were Blue Ribbon BBQ and Blackbird Donuts. The cake even had donut hole bride and groom wedding toppers!
The house was set up so that the ceremony and reception were held in the backyard, while games and the photobooth were in the front for guests to enjoy separately. We loved every second of this day and are so fortunate to have been a part of it!
